NEW YORK – Sept. 2, 2015 – The Soho Loft Media Group and Victoria Global support a practical course on venture philanthropy from 15-16 September 2015 in Brussels, Belgium
For the third year running, the Fundamental Tool Kit Part II of the course on Venture Philosophy in Practice organized by the European Venture Philanthrophy Association (EVPA) will be held in Brussels, Belgium. This training course will provide attendees the basics of venture philanthropy and social investing combined with unique learning experiences. Some elements covered in this training are due diligence techniques and structuring and closing deals. It provides the trainees access to structured learning for professional advancement of venture philanthropy. The training is characterised by practical guidance that promotes social impact for both investees/grantees and social investors.

The course is designed for philanthropy advisors, investment managers, and grant officers with 2 years or less experience in social #investments or venture philanthropy. Grant officers who worked with Foundations but are new to venture philanthropy, and professionals without any experience in venture philanthropy and social investing can also attend the training.
The course is delivered in an interactive environment that weaves theory into practical learning. Attendees can look forward to gaining a strong understanding of topics such as Venture Philanthropy and Social Investing Models, ‘Managing and Measuring Social Impact’, Best practices for Conflict Resolution and Management, and Providing non-monetary support to Organizations working for Social Change.
Course attendees get a Certificate of Participation from EVPA after completing all assignments and attending all course sessions. The number of attendees is limited to a maximum of 20. Participants are drawn from all parts of Europe, an element that offers great networking opportunities.
